Not sure what to do on my "track" (Electronic)

So I know absolutely nothing about theory and have never really made anything before but I have had a go at starting to make something and un-surprisingly it just sounds wrong/bad, It's just hard to pin-point why it's bad, I know that it needs a chord progression of some sort but I have no idea what keys to use or anything like that, all I did to make the (shitty) melody was choose a key (F Major) and just only use the keys that are in F major.
