I recently failed my UK driving test after taking 45 hours of lessons, and I can’t stop thinking about it. Right at the start of the test, while leaving the test centre, I had to take a left turn, followed by another immediate left. The road was quite narrow, and at the same time, another driver was ahead of me, waiting to turn right. Since we were both exiting from the same spot, I tilted slightly to the left and ended up hitting the curb.
That mistake completely threw me off, and I struggled to focus on the rest of the test. Shortly after, I had to take a right turn onto a dual carriageway. I checked for traffic, proceeded towards the island, and was planning to stop there. I even mentioned this to the examiner, but they braked and put the car in neutral, saying I couldn’t stop on the island.
Now, I have to wait almost four months for my next test (booked for June), and I feel so frustrated after spending so much money. It’s been really hard to move past this, and I keep replaying what went wrong. Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you cope with it?
