Anyone passed their Practical test without using an actual instructor?

Post Body

I currently drive with my IDL, have been driving for over 4 years, but I must change my IDL to a full UK license as I am approaching 1 year in the UK. My issue now is that instructors are charging £80 to £90 for 2 hours, they won't take me for one hour. I have immersed myself into YouTube to learn every trick and questions for the test, but a friend told me I must get an instructor or else I will fail. HOWEVER, IT IS CHEAPER TO FAIL AND TRY AGAIN THAN GET AN INSTRUCTOR FOR 2 HOURS. The test is £62 and instructors are £80.

Please advice.
