Picking up my first car

I passed my test a couple of weeks ago and I'm picking up my first car this afternoon, an old-ish Renault Clio (2007). I'm nervous about driving it away from the dealer as I'm worried that the clutch will be different to my instructors car and I won't be able to figure it out for the drive home. In my instructor's Yaris I could move off with just the clutch and add gas as I got going, will this be the case in the Clio or will I have to add gas before setting off?
