Hi everyone!
I'm completely new to learning Japanese, but I've got a strong heart, a determined...pencil, and...you get the drill.
In my haste to get started not too long ago I somehow managed to miss the Genki series and instead found myself with a book entitled: Japanese from Zero, by George Trombley Jr and Yukari Takenaka. I've searched on this subreddit a bit and found somewhat mixed reviews so I figured i'd ask again and see if anything's changed since the last posts (A while ago) or maybe to just get a new perspective...
Anyway: What are people's opinions on this book for a total novice? I really don't want to invest in a book that will teach me bad habits or the like, so i'd like some feedback before I dive too deeply into it.
Thanks!
