Hey my friends, I want to thank all of you who have reached out to me with your well wishes on FB and Mewe. I don’t take it lightly, there is hope in this world.
This is a little ditty from the 60’s it was written back in the 50’s by Pete Seger; according to Pete he was inspired by the words from a book he was reading (Sorry I don’t remember the title of the book).
It was a Protest Song in the late 60s and early 70s against the Vietnam War and sung at protest by many artists. Regardless of the history and it’s military/government connection it hit a chord with me and stuck with me.
It is a very simple song with deep meaning……that is what makes great songs.
