Silly question: Is there a standard-ish or clever way to 'sing' guitar parts?
Post Body

I see a lot of sources say that you should sing along with what you play on guitar while you practice to internalize the sound but humming isn't really going far enough and just belting out a an 'ahh' also seems unsatisfying. I was thinking of maybe singing out the note name or chord name but, often, I don't know it before my hands are on the guitar and find it (I am working on that).

When I learned drums beatboxing of a sort that corresponded to different hi-hat, bass drum, snare etc. was encouraged too, but was a lot easier to figure out what sound to vocalize.

So, is there any well known techniques in this area for guitar? Techniques that you've stumbled upon that work well for you?
