I'm the girl with almost the same name as you who was out for a walk. My goodness, that was really horrific. Thank you for going so quickly for supplies and thank you for the lift back to my house. Kitty was already gone when we put her in the box, so she didn't suffer long.

Leander Animal Services doesn't work weekends, so my housemate called Leander Veterinary Clinic. We took kitty to get scanned for a chip, but she seemed to be a community cat (stray). The very sweet vet tech took her because they have an arrangement with their crematorium for community cats. No charge, although we did offer. Housemate is going to make them cookies. I hope it's okay that I let them keep your nice turquoise box. We said a prayer for kitty as they took her.

I'm so sorry for such a sad morning. Just wanted to follow up and let you know how it all turned out. You're a kickass person, neighbor. Next time I run into you on a walk, introduce me to puppers.
