Carry junglers with wave clears

Everyone says carry junglers don't work because they don't get enough gold. What about those mids and tops that can perform more of a supporty role like Oriana, Galio, Shen, you know, tanks and supporty mages? You could run a carry jungler and let waves build up when they're on the way to your lane and clear some of your creeps. Feed the jungler, not the lane!
Viable? Think my friends and I should try it.
