I’m a lawyer, running my own firm for the last 5 years. I’m looking to understand what is the best way for a lawyer to: 1. Network amongst clients/businesses 2. Get more work/ do business development

Depends on your area of practice. For me in estate planning it's word of mouth. Do a good job for your clients and they will tell their friends. That and just make myself visible in the comminuty-join various social organizations, etc. Where I live (Deep South), people are gregarious and chatty, so I strike up conversations at the gym, at lunch, etc. I work my area of practice into the conversation when I can.
