My mom had an evar surgery on the main artery that runs through leg and stomach. So on December 20th 2023 she went to the er complaining of shortness of breath and chest pain. Shed had a heat attack in the 90s. She was 60 years old during the hospital visit that ended in us loosing her. Very energetic and outgoing. The Dr took a chest X-ray and told her if she quit vaping she'd probably be able to breathe. Gave her some blood pressure meds and sent her home. No other tests. My sister later found my mom disoriented and staggering around the kitchen as if she was drunk. My mom didn't drink. They called ambulance again. My mom died enroute to the hospital. She bled out from the evar is what her medical records say. It took us months to get her death certificate. We fought the coroner to get it. The sheriff's department was very abrasive. Kicked me out twice for going to speak to the coroner. Was called to finally go get certificate and drove 2 hours. Got there and was told it was locked for changes. Received it 2 days later. Cause of death: acute meth intoxication. Now I'm not saying she didn't have it in her system. She very well could have. But it wasn't the Drs deemed cause of death. This woman sent my mom home to bleed out. Simply because she didn't care enough to text her to find out what the problem actually was. I now have 5 siblings to care for. 2 are 33 years old and fully dependent. They have cp. There now in a nursing home because I can't afford a handicap accessible house for them. My mother lived and breathed for them. She barely left home because she had to be the one to care for them. Now there hours from me or anyone they know. I need money to get them to me. Her death has caused so much more for me and my siblings. Do I have a case?
