First off the charges are not the reason for this post. About a year ago i had tested positive for drugs i did not know i consumed(i know this is essentially the “i didnt do it” of excuses most of the time). After hearing this i refused to make a statement as to not incriminate myself accidentally, or maybe coerced into a confession. Immediately after this meeting i retained a lawyer, and invoked my right to remain silent. quick note: (at least how my ship scheduled this for months) there is one week of prep in between DRB(disciplinary review board), XOI (executive officer’s inquiry), and NJP (non judicial punishment) i was approached by the leagalman first class and he informed me only 3 days after my DRB that my NJP was in three hours. After not being able to have my lawyer i was found guilty by the captain. I had reported this incident to the admiralty and they had dropped the charges on the basis i would be retried fairly, and as soon as as i requested a court marshal i was kicked out two days later. I want to at least clear my name, at most put this captain on trial for what he did to the restrictees on the ship, im not saying this for attention i have witnesses willing to testify. I have been trying to get help adter being kicked out but financially i cant afford these lawyers, im trying to provide for three stepchildren. Please help, this is a genuine call for help. I dont know where else to look.
