I'm looking for a church here in Lawrence. Any recommendations?

I've spent most of my life in the churches of Christ, but the local ones are a bit crazy. I've heard everything from "dinosaurs don't exist" to "universities encourage suicide".

Ideally, I'm looking for:

• A simple service. Catholic and Lutheran churches tend to be too ritualistic or showy for me. I'm used to a simpler atmospheres. Some praying, some singing, some good discussion. Maybe that's not a solid theological thing, but it's where I'm most comfortable.
• An acceptant congregation. I wouldn't say "liberal", but I'd like to avoid the kinds of fundamentalism that's too common in Kansas, and avoid the anti-LGBT, anti-science, anti-education views that often come with it. Just be cool, you know?
