Just graduated and passed the bar; working for a larger corporation that has recently introduced an employee union. I am curious about joining because they have expressed a need for strong writers, editors, and people who are interested in drafting documents and negotiating; all things I enjoy. However, I am worried about the impact this could have on my career/resume in the future.
For what it's worth, I support unions in the aggregate, but just don't want my membership in one to hurt my career. Given that corporate/biglaw skews conservative, should I leave this off my resume or not join altogether?
