A brief musing on entertainment law

I have seen some people post here over the years, all excited at the prospect of working in entertainment law. I want to burst that particular bubble really quickly.
I have done some entertainment law, and it is a lot of contract law and intellectual property law. It's not the glamour and glitz that a lot of people seem to think that it is. And I'm not getting invited to my client's parties most of the time.
Don't get me wrong, it's as much fun as any other contract law matter. But entertainment law is not the exciting world that a lot of people imagine it to be.
