Fil-Am here born in the USA. My understanding is that if one of your parents was a Filipino National at the time of your birth, I would be eligible to be a Filipino citizen via dual citizenship.
My father passed away years ago, so what would my mom need to bring with me to the embassy exactly to prove she was a citizen of the Philippines at the time of my birth? My birth certificate and the certificate when my mom naturalized as a US citizen? Passports?
If my mom were to pass away, and I were not to be able to procure such documents, can I find them online somehow or would I be screwed ?
Thanks in advance!
