Getting fired? Or is this normal?
Post Body

I am six months into practice and six month at this firm. It is a mid sized firm. I am in litigation. My firm does quarterly reviews and at my last review they provided me with a memo with a list of areas for improvement. It wasn’t a “performance improvement plan” just titled “Q3 Review and Discussion Items.” I am doing my best but it does take me a long time to do things and I ask a lot of questions/sometimes make mistakes. It feels like every step I take they’re upset or disappointed. I do hate it here and want to find somewhere else, but I want to know if giving a written memo with things I need to improve on is a sign they are going to fire me or if it is a form of them trying to help me grow? Advice/insight please! Thanks.
