I've been having some weird health problems for the past few months, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

I got my first piece of latex clothing at the start of November. I'd say I dress up roughly every 2 - 3 weeks. I've never had an immediate reaction following wearing rubber, and i had never had problems in my life from touching condoms or latex gloves.

In about mid-march, I noticed that my skin would occasionally get red and itchy (not after wearing latex, just at random times) i started taking antihistamines, and the itchiness subsided, but not the redness. It seems I have dermatographia, wear my skin turns red for about 30 minutes after it gets scratched/irritated.

Shortly after developing these symptoms, I noticed that parts of my body would get sore and occasionally swell after physically exerting them for a period of time. Example: working with my hands all day -> hands swell and get sore. Hike a mountain - legs get sore. This is so far the only correlation I've noticed.

These flare ups have never seemed to coincide with me wearing latex. Last time I wore it was about 2.5 weeks ago, and I had a really bad flare up this most recent Friday.

I've had seasonal allergies all my life, and the allergy season is particularly bad where I live rn. I feel like this might have something to do with it, but it's still very strange.

Has anyone experienced something like this? I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with the latex, but I just want some opinions.

DISCLAIMER: I have talked to my doctor about this. She's equally stumped, and trying to refer me to a rheumatologist right now. I feel like it might be some sort of autoimmune disease, but I wanna hear if you guys have ever experienced this.
