Tea Chain brands itself as progressive, fires employees and closes original store after workers speak up.
Post Body

Boba Guys is a national boba chain that has always branded itself as being progressive minded; openly celebrating the LGBT Community, being open about racial injustice, etc. My GF works (well, used to work) at the original store.

Without any warning, all employees had their hours cut in half or down to a third. After voicing this to the owners (of the entire national chain, mind you), the main proprietor lectured them all on how he (a multimillionaire) would lose just as much as them.

He then proceeded to fire several employees who had spoken up, and were caught after management illegally recorded audio in the store.

Now all employees are refusing to come in, and the store is currently shut down. But Boba Guys is not relenting, and plans on rearranging employees for several other stores to suppress this worker effort, and is gearing up for a smear campaign.

Just despicable

UPDATE: All organizing employees have been barred from entering any other stores
