Now that a lot of people have watched Skinamarink, and I'm going around reading reviews.... it feels like I'm alone in actually liking this film.
I saw it in a crowed 100 year old theater in Chicago, so maybe it was the atmosphere of that alone that did it? I can't put my finger on the hate. Sure it's a slow burn movie. However, I felt the use of sound and darkness in this film to be amazing. I was pulled into the world of those kids and I felt scared for them.
It's hard for me to get scared anymore, since like everyone here I've seen it all. There was just something about this film that stayed with me days after watching it.
So I gotta know, am I alone here haha.
