Actual depth from engraving with a fiber laser on anodized aluminum?
Post Body

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone may be able to answer this.

I own a 20w em-smart ONE fiber laser. Im trying to engrave / etch a circle 25mm wide that’s below the original surface of a metal business card (0.8mm thick). I would like to be able to apply an anti metal NFC sticker within that space and it be as flush with the surface as possible.

My settings are: - power 100 - freq 20 - speed 100

For whatever reason it’s not making any difference in depth on the card itself.

Is there any tricks that I can try? Adjust focus? Change settings?

Thanks everyone!
