Hi all:
After spending YEARS trying and failing to find my lost CLD-D704 (we moved several times and of all the CRAP that is still with us, that precious hunk of metal somehow disappears), I am prowling ebay for a replacement.
My question is about the NTSC picture quality of the Pioneer HLD-X1000. I am not overly concerned with actual MUSE playback, but I'm interested because they're showing up at semi-sane prices, and from my understanding, as MUSE players, they would HAVE to have the red laser that makes NTSC playback so much cleaner on the HLD-X0 and X9, right? Does anyone know if that is somehow not the case?
Also, does anyone know anything about the overall build quality of this unit? I've tried to find info on it and it seems even less common than the X0 and X9.
Any info would be greatly appreciated....
