I read a horrible story online about a landlord that filed summary ejectment (for non-payment of rent), made a mistake on the court paperwork, and the snaffu cost her a lot of time and money.
Have any other landlord made some mistake during the eviction process that ended up costing them more time and money than it should have? I'm interested in what kinds of things can commonly (or uncommonly) go wrong. Right now, I'm getting my ducks in a row for a tenant whose lease is not being renewed.
I'm in Wake County, North Carolina by-the-way.
