I fucked up when I didn't get "We will clean the apartment before you move-in" on paper.

The real estate agent we talked to assured us it would be cleaned before move-in. But anyways, my roommate and I moved into our 2 bedroom and nothing was cleaned. Previous tenant trash was everywhere, cabinets and refrigerator need cleaning etc. Toilet set broken and hanging, shower drain clogged, it's pretty bad.

Management has been on "vacation" for a bit now and have not responded to numerous emails. The supervisor came over one day and said he would come this Saturday -- despite us trying to contact him again, he never did.

I'm nearly at my wits end. I haven't really cleaned the place because I believe it's the management/supervisor's responsibility...

What can I do? Any advice is appreciated.
