[Tenant -US - AL-] can landlord do this after lease is up

My lease was up 7/31 and I returned my keys on 7/31. I turned in my notice to vacate on 7/20. My landlord kept my security deposit for cleaning. Yard clean fee. Painting fee and prorated my rent for 8/19. I asked why they prorated my rent and she stated it’s Because my 30 day notice was giving in till 7/20 and it’ll be 30 days on 8/20. I moved out when my lease was up on the exact day and gave my keys in that morning. And wasn’t occupying the house any days after. Is this legal?
