What is behind this panel? Can it be removed easily for a replacement gasket?
It's leaking Diesel on an old pump here and I want to pull it and make a new gasket for it. But I want to be sure it's not holding some spring loaded timing mechanisms or something first.
I have a Brooklands books workshop manual that says the pump is not serviceable, but I would like to be sure that a £2 gasket might save me a £300 pump
