This morning starting at 4am the apartment building next to me (I'm at Brickhouse at Lamar Station, not sure what the complex next door is called) the buildings fire alarm went off. It's obviously one of those ear piercing alarms that was incredibly loud even to us across the parking lot inside another building.
People were starting go go outside because that's what you do, but after the alarm went on for 20 minutes or so they started going back in. It took about that long for emergency services to even arrive so that alone was concerning.
A firetruck was parked outside for a little bit, but then left and the fire alarm continued to sound for another 30 minutes. All-in this alarm was going off for over an hour between 4 and 5am, continuing long after the fire department left.
Anyone know what was going on? What's with the incredibly late response from emergency services? The building is literally a half mile from the fire station. The lazy service from the fire department was super annoying especially considering they left leaving the alarm blaring.
