So I barely know any Spanish but I’m learning. Sometimes when I wonder what was said (I watch with Spanish audio, English captions) I put on spanish captions and it doesn’t make sense. Like some phrases when translated make no sense in english, I guess because it’s translated literally. And it got me thinking even if I learn spanish fluently, there will be phrases that I have no idea what they mean because it isn’t my first language. Example: Tokyo and Nairobi were talking in Part 3 Episode 6 about how Nairobi doesn’t need to read minds to know that Tokyo feels guilty. Nairobi says, in english captions, that she doesn’t have to read minds. In spanish captions, it says that she ‘doesn’t have to be a lynx.’ Another in that scene: Nairobi says that they are all adrenaline junkies In spanish captions, it translates to say ‘we are all going!’. Anyone familiar with spanish as a first or second language, any help explaining the phrases in spanish or how to learn them as if this was my first language, that would be so appreciated. Sorry if any wording here is weird, super tired and confused tbh.
