She has the worst luck imaginable. So in the first movie, she and her crew are being sent on a suicide mission by the company. She survives, but the rest of her crew dies, and her shuttle slipped right through the checkpoints and she never got to see her daughter again. Then she gets screwed over by the company and is thought to be crazy. Later on when suspicious activity occurs at LV426, she is forced to face her worst nightmare. Then a lot of action and drama happen on this particular planet. By the end we think things are good and everyone lives happily ever after... no not really. Through unfortunate events and a crappy security protocol on a military ship's computer, she gets impregnated and her "new" daughter dies along with everyone else... she wakes up to find that she now has a queen growing in her and there is another one of these horrific Xenomorphs running around. In the end she commits suicide and kills this threat by burning it with fire. But I really feel sorry for her. All she wanted to do is return to the way things were before she left.
