Why don't the New Movies Use Retro Tech?
Post Body

The New movies feels so detached from Alien, not only because of the different tone, but because the tech seems so advanced than what we saw in Alien. Sure there are a lot of arguments made about how the ships are newer than the Nostromo. That is the go-to argument. Completely possible, but not the point. But look at what they did with Alien Isolation. They used retro tech with the big buttons, blinking lights, ms dos interface, and those made it seem more a part of the Alien universe than the new films are with its touch screens and holograms. I mean those holographic mapping balls were useless anyway seeing as how those two idiots in Prometheus got lost.
