Like the title says this is going to be my first swap and try to keep it budget friendly ….. so as of now this is what i have going on 86 s15 GMC sierra classic 2.8 v6/700r4 2wd $800
DONOR TRUCK 99 sierra 2500 6.0 iron head with a 4l80 4x4 $500
Is it worth converting the trans to 2wd? I’ve read some info about can not run anything but a 80e or older sbc style trans due to crank spacing Or should i pick up a 700r4 for this? Buying a 2wd 80e is an option if i could find one that’s not $$$$$$$
When it comes to the heads basically just weight is the difference?
Maybe I’m just flooding myself with too much info feeling a little overwhelmed
I plan on getting it in and running stock then cam down the road …. Going to cut down the harness and have the computer flashed
