Caught by airport X-rays/scanners etc?? And Separately - South America Pyramid Gels

Has anyone here entered South America from the US with a pyramid gel?

And separate from my South America question, has anyone anywhere ever gotten caught by customs in another country with just one tab? & I’m not asking about the type of case where someone left their wallet somewhere and the airport went through the wallet to find the id and stumbled across the tab. I’m asking if airport customs ever was able to detect a tab - by dog (unlikely i think) or by machine (that’s my concern but i can’t find enough info about it).
