Specifically that this is unacceptable.
- Linkbait-y titles.
- The use of symbolic Unicode in titles.
- The constant barrage of "URGENT" emails whenever a funding drive is about to end.
- Trudeau's diningenuous "really quick" email that was certainly planned weeks in adavnce.
- And, most frustratingly, the sheer volume of emails.
This constant barrage of repetitive and mostly uninformative emails are making me tone deaf to the Liberal party. You can't expect people to read an email a day in the pre-election runup. I find myself dismissing more and more unread LPC emails because they're probably not important, like the ten that preceded them.
For a party trying to present themselves as the youthful choice, they really don't seem to understand how to engage people on the Internet. Email isn't designed to be used like Twitter.
I don't want to remove myself from the LPC mailing list. I like the emails on policy directions, and catching the press releases straight from LPC instead of through the CBC. But unless somebody in the party gets control over the open mic that is the donor mailing list, I'm not going to bother tuning in.
Let's discuss: What are your thoughts on the LPC's mailing list policies (or lack thereof)?
