1. Meeting introduction, guidelines

Business as usual. Confirmed that the required numbers of Council and residents were present, so the meeting is legal and official.

2. Vote: proposal for Judges in the Dunes

Last week we put forward a proposal for the judicial system in the Dunes, and asked you all to offer feedback. We incorporated the feedback we received and worked on refining the proposal during the week. Some of the feedback we received expressed interest in a jury system. For now, we would like to see how a judge-based system works out. If it turns outafter a few weeks that the residents and Council feel that a jury system would work better, we will pursue an amendment.

A vote was taken for the proposal, with the following results:

The Dunes Judicial proposal has passed, and will be put into place as soon as possible. Council will begin accepting applications for judge positions at the embassy this week. Instructions will appear very soon, please watch the subreddit for information!

3. Clarification on Cloud Kingdom's Senate Proposal

As you may recall, we mentioned last week that Cloud had proposed a Senate system for Dong Dank. It would be a unified body of governing senators, at a higher level than the Councils. There has been quite a bit of discussion among the districts in the last week, and some clarifying points should be made.

First, Cloud has said that they didn't intend the proposal as written to be final. It's a first draft, and they really want all the districts to contribute to writing/refining it.

Second, there was so much opposition to the idea of a central law enforcement group that that part has been effectively removed from the senate proposal.

Third, there was some opposition to the idea of large, multi-district clans having representation in the Senate. The intent is to offer a voice to those groups, but the groups would not have a vote.

One of the current discussions that's going on concerns how many senators there shoudl be per district: proportional to the population, or a set number? (I.e., would the Dunes only have one senator, or the same number as other districts??)

We would really like feedback from any of you who are interested in these things: on our reddit discussion, and on the main discussion post. The main thing that many people seem to want is more collaboration across districts, which we've always been in favour of: it helps bring together a tighter community, and tighter communities last longer!

4. Dunes UHC!

Dunes UHC, hosted by DTm4tador (thank you!) was hosted right after the Council meeting. It was teams of three, and Brayden1207, CadrienK, and Darbooma emerged victorious. Congratulations to the winning team!

5. Entrepreneur of the Week

This week's Entrepreneur of the Week is GaaraTheFifth, owner of the Dunes Ducks Petting Zoo in Southwest Yellow 4, at x:400, z:630. He also wins a 7 gold bar award! Make sure to stop by and give him some business this week!

6. Welcoming new residents

Council welcomes new residents each week! We'll do our very best to include every new Dunian resident at each meeting. If you see these folks around, make sure to welcome them!

7. Announcements

• AnvilFrost: The plot at East Yellow 4 is currently being held in reserve for someone who would like to build and run a Dunes Welcome Center & Information Bulletin Board. If you, or anyone you know, is interested, please contact the Dunes Council.
• Obsidious_D: Due to a clerical error in the office of the building vendor, Dunians currently have access to pink wool carpets, even though they're still labeled "Pink Stained Clay". Obviously this is something we probably won't have for long, so make sure to stock up while you can! (OOC note: this is not exploiting a bug, this is something that has been intentionally provided on a temporary basis, probably for Valentine's Day.)

Q: nmjk is batman/girl. True or true?
A: This is a logical fallacy, assuming that the only answers possible are those given. Clearly nmjk is not batman, which means the question, as posed, is at fault.
