1. Meeting introduction, guidelines

Business as usual. Confirmed that the required numbers of Council and residents were present, so the meeting is legal and official.

2. Dunes Banner

Over the last week, Dunians have been voting for an official dunes banner! The results are in:

We're working on a way to show off the banner on this subreddit, but haven't got a good solution just yet. In the meantime, here are a couple of image downloads for you! Medium Large

3. Proposal for Judges in the Dunes

During a previous Council Meeting we asked for thoughts about how a judicial system should be approached in the Dunes. Since then we've pulled together a Proposal for the Sand Dunes Judicial System. Instead of voting for it on the spot, we instead want your opinion! Please comment with your thoughts, questions, and any feedback. It will be presented for a vote at an upcoming meeting.

4. Dunes UHC

Next Saturday, January 24, at 5pm EST, the Dunes is holding a UHC! It will be teams of 2 or 3 on a 1800x1800 map. Make sure to sign up—Dunes and Barrens are both welcome! And thanks to DTm4tador for hosting, as always. :)

5. Cloud Kingdom's Senate Proposal

At Friday's Cross-District Meeting, Cloud Kingdom presented a proposal to reform the entire Cross-District Meeting process into a Dong-Dank-Wide Senate. No immediate response was requested, and there was a fair bit of feedback even at that meeting. We (Dunes Council) will be thinking about it too, but we also want to hear from you. Please read it and provide your feedback!

6. Entrepreneur of the Week

This week's Entrepreneur of the Week is Lady_Kari, owner of the Cake N Bake in Southeast Orange 3, at x:470, z:650. She also wins a 7 gold bar award! Make sure to stop by and give her some business this week!

7. Welcoming new residents

Council welcomes new residents each week! We'll do our very best to include every new Dunian resident at each meeting. If you see these folks around, make sure to welcome them!

8. Q&A

Q: A lot of districts intend to fight Westshire, to "liberate" their residents. Will the Dunes stay neutral?
A: Yes, the Dunes intends to stay neutral during any potential conflict surrounding Westshire.

Announcement: The Dunes Natural History Museum is now open at North Yellow 2 and welcomes visitors.

9. Final Announcement

Immediately after the meeting, everyone was invited to head over to the Sewage Plant for some (wickedly difficult!) parkour fun! This was the modified version of the originally planned Grey Sands Games, and it was a lot of fun to hang out with some of the folks from Westshire. After the parkour (group photo by K54) and some fun "field trip" wandering through the Grove, we made our way to Westshire for some hide and seek. Thank you for the fun event, Westshire/[R] friends!

Closing Comments

A huge thank you to our roleplaying visitors who so graciously responded to our requests to wait until the meeting ended before starting the roleplay! We really appreciate the gesture of good will, especially since we both had to break RP to arrange it.
