1. Meeting introduction, guidelines

After last week's disruptions and after seeing some recurring questions week by week, it seems like a good idea to start these meetings with a brief introduction.

• No food/drink, music, emote, or fishing/snowball disruptions
• Anyone may ask a question by raising their hand ( Type: o/ )
• Any resident of the Dunes may vote on an issue
• Keep chatter to a minimum, and in "ooc:" if it's necessary

2. Council announcement

pizzaman321 made the sad announcement (accompanied by appropriate tears and music) that he is stepping down from Dunes Council in favour of concentrating on his work with the Dank News Network. Thank you for being part of Council even if for a short time, pizzaman!

3. Status update about Dunes Branch of Desert Task Force

As decided last week, the contract with the Desert Task Force, the Barrens law enforcement institution, is now indefinite. Since last week's meeting, K54 initiated recruitment for the Dunes Branch. If you're interested, please submit your application. Malvar_The_Great and MJFurman_16 have already joined DTF-Dunes and will be patrolling. If you have any questions about recruitment, please ask them on that same post!

4. Last update about Nismas festivities, especially snowball fight

Everybody get hype...

Snowball fight is tomorrow!!

• Complete details are here.
• Make sure to show up early (4pm eastern at the latest) and bring your snowballs!
• Rennyj very kindly created team hats -- Green for Dunes, Orange for Barrens. Instructions will be added soon! Hat-only files here
• Note: depending on turnout, we may need to do some team balancing! We hope you'll be able to represent your home district, though. :)
• If you don't have any snowballs and you want to be a referee, please contact nmjk (in game or on reddit) to volunteer!
• There was some question about prizes, but nothing has been organized. If it doesn't work out, be prepared to fight for honour and glory!

5. Dunes presence in the Mall

The mall is now open, and some of the Dunes/Barrens residents got a plot! Make sure to check them out on the second floor, east side (to the right when you enter). Great selection, affordable prices! There's also a lot to check out at the mall! Some things require S.S. stones, some can be bought with gold. Have fun!

6. Check in with residents: what do you want to see in this district? More of something? Less of something?

It turns out we want to see more of some things, and some new things!

7. Reminder about Wikia editing

Don't forget to contribute to the Sand Dunes wikia editing project!

8. Entrepreneur of the Week

vK_InFaMy has been managing the Dunes Business Catalogue for quite a while, and manages the Entrepreneur of the Week program. This week's winner is Rennyj, owner of the Costume Shop in West Orange 3, at x:415, z:520. They also win a 7 gold bar award! A very timely win, since Rennyj is giving us Snowball Fight skin help!

9. Q&A

Q: How do I sign up to referee the snowball fight?
A: Talk to nmjk in-game or on reddit!

Q: Will everyone get prizes at the snowball fight, or just the winners?
A: We're not even sure the winners will get prizes, at this point. We'll do what we can!

Q: Should we make sure that people don't wear in-game hats (armor or mall hats) at the snowball fight?
A: Yes! Make sure that your team hat is visible!

Q: Should refs have their own uniform?
A: Great idea, Rennyj will pull something together!

Q: Is the Dunes doing a Secret Santa?
A: No, but MJFurman_16 is doing a Dunes Santa! Put any last-minute donations in the chests under his Nismas palm tree (near the palace), and make sure you have a donation chest visible on your plot!
