After almost 3 years of no issues and barely a scratch on the thing, my V60 has started to show its age. The screen started to pop up at the top corners a few weeks ago, and when trying to replace the battery today I guess I didn't heat the adhesive long enough and completely shattered the back glass trying to pry it off. The worst part is, none of the precision screwdrivers that came with the battery were the right size, AND I didn't know about the secret code to check battery life until today (it was still relatively good) so I broke my sh*t for no reason whatsoever...
So, what to do next?
I've seen some posts regarding back glass replacements, BUT, I'm nervous the camera cover will be plastic and will significantly effect picture/video quality.
Also, this doesn't fix the issue of my screen beginning to peal off the front, and I'm worried fixing those two issues myself will leave me susceptible to water damage.
Does anyone trust these eBay posts that say "new in box"? I'm VERY skeptical that can't be the case on a 3 year old phone. Should I just go with that and hope I get one that is well refurbished? How about the listing on Amazon that is refurbished?
I'm willing to shell out more money if one of these "new" or refurbished V60s are the better option, but would hate to transfer everything over to a phone for that just to crap out on me when the one I bought new has been solid for 3 years.
Anyone care to take the time to run through the pros/cons of my options and tell me what they would do/have done in this situation?
Thanks in advance.
