So I(16f) have this friend who's a guy(16m) and he's homophobic. I'm a lesbian, but I'm not out yet. Ngl, most of my friends are homophobic, they don't think it's natural or normal. They think all gay people are bad and sick. They often make jokes about gay people, or call each other gay as a joke.
So my guy friend walked into the class and said "boy, love nice."( He recently started talking to this girl, and spends most of recess with her friend group.) Then this girl ( who's in my friend group and also not homophobic) said something. I don't really remember what it was, but we landed on the conversation about gay people. She said something along the lines of "if love's nice why can't gay people love who they want, why do you want to make them unhappy for no reason?" All he said was it wasn't natural. Tbh, I'm not really hurt by his words or anything, it's just weird.
I know what you're thinking, I should probably drop them. But besides being homophobic they're kinda cool I feel shitty for saying this but, they are. They'd probably hate me if they knew I'm gay, but that's life I guess.
For most of my school life I've never had friends, for like 4 years of school I didn't speak to anyone, nor did I have friends. I only recently found out what it's like to have actual friends. I have only 3-4 more months of school then I'll be done. Maybe I might drop most of them then, but right now that's not possible I don't want to go back to being lonely and eating lunch alone so I'll endure the hate for now.
That's it's really, thanks for reading my little rant/vent. Hope you're having an amazing day!
I mean if you wanna be friends with fake people who don’t accept you for you then that’s on you. Seems you’ve made your mind up
