Post Body

I asked this in r/mm-romancebooks a while back but was curious about the answers from this community since it is neither centered around a specific sexuality nor is it centered around romance.

If you found an author that wrote characters that represented your favorite or preferred configuration, would you stop reading if you found out they mixed it up? Ie do you want your mm authors to only write mm and write their ff under a different pen?

Would it be as jarring as a contemp author throwing in pnr or vise versa (which I think would be even more jarring, haha)

Context: This came up in my book discord talking about Alexis Hall and how he just writes whatever he wants. Historical? Yup. Vampires? Yup. Mf, ff, mm? Yup, yup, yup. While other authors really niche down and write one thing and then direct you to another pen name (or you figure it out on your own) for other content.
