I got my LEED GA a couple years ago during my senior year of college, and I will have to renew it by the end of this month.
I might be able to find enough free online credits to maintain it this year, but I don’t have enough interest or money to pay for this credential every single year after this. I realize how expensive it gets to maintain it, and so far I haven’t gained anything from this credential.
For example, I haven’t had any need for my LEED GA in my job interviews, as I’ve only applied to general city planning internships without any emphasis in green buildings. I list it on my resume and nobody has ever asked me about it.
So I’m wondering if it’s worth actually maintaining my LEED GA and if employers (specifically those unrelated to green buildings) actually check if your credential is active. Thank you!
