Hi everyone! Just wanted to share how mucho enjoy being in a LDR. When we went into it, I was terrified because I kept reading about how hard and awful it is ๐ฐ but it has been (up until now) one of the most fulfilling and loving relationships Iโve ever had.
I struggle with codependency and being LD has helped me so much with putting attention into my own thing. I have been able to put myself in my career, spend time with friends and family, work out, eat healthier and pursue my hobbies and artistic interests. At the end of the day, I have a loving partner that supports me and cares for me and who Iโm able to tell everything. Of course I miss him and not having physical contact is hard, but the intimacy that we reach by having separate lives as separate individuals who share their growth is just amazing.
Not meaning to belittle the hardship other couples endure or put my happiness in everyoneโs faces, Iโm just happy and wanted to show that it is not all gloomy and sacrificial.
