We've had a good relationship for 1.5 years and he (26M) has come to visit me(26F) 3 times. It's so few because I can't leave my country due to residency issues and he can't visit as often as he would like because he lives with a conservative family who already aren't happy when he leaves to go on trips abroad by himself (to see me).

We spend a lot of time on the phone facetiming and texting usually, but as of late since the last time he saw me a month ago he's been a bit quieter and distant. I'm not sure how to tell him I feel this way because he already has so many stresses like family and work.

He's mentioned that he wants to find a remote job so he can work from anywhere in the world, but he didn't mention my city in that list. I'm worried he could be trying to find someone more convenient since we're not of the same culture and I have another 2 years of university left.

What should I do?

We also love each other very much i should add, but recently with this distance between us and the shortage of calls and messages I'm beginning to feel abandoned which is a trauma of mine, and I may fall out of love if this continues.
