New update and excessive community rage
Post Body

Well, I'm kinda of a lurker here, but I feel like a different opinion should be voiced in this subreddit.

First of all, about misinformation. Whenever you don't know if something is true, keep calm and avoid spreading stuff that isnt true, that is low and pretty bad from a community perspective. The "decayment" stuff IS NOT TRUE. If you arent sure, either try to look out and learn or dont say what you dont know.

Second of all, about the excessive rage about this update, I wanna start stating something. People are complaining that this game is "pay to win" and that the devs want to "milk money from a beta game". Okay, that isnt true in many ways.

I also play others mobile games, mostly one who I'll refrain from posting names here that falls under the gacha category. For those who dont know, Gacha are games that have "summon" mechanics: New units are released and you can use the premium currency for them. New contents like bosses and stuff are added on a regular basis, and on increasing difficulty (named power creep) to "force" people to get new units.

These kind of games are the most "milking" ones. Like, seriously, this game doesnt even come CLOSE to that. LDOE is in a way that I could drop $30 bucks, get the chopper parts I need, and done. I wouldnt need to spend money anytime soon. On the other Gacha I play, people drop $300, $400 each time a new precious strong unit is released and sometimes dont even get it. That is how different the money grab is.

Also: If you don't have the chopper yet, why despair? The game follows a pattern, where you need to constantly farm resources to survive (wood, stone, ores, meelee weapons for green/yellow/red zones, duct tapes), and every now and then you have the chance to try for hard loot (for me, that is every 2 bunker runs since I can open a red crate). It is a slow pace, but it is INTENDED to be this way. How many of you would still play the game if you got the chopper after one week playing, cleared the watch tower, went to all snowy places and saw that there is nothing new to do besides survival? Yeah, no one. The game is intended that you have a hard time getting to the end, cuz there is nothing else after that. RPG type games usually offer regular new content for end-gamers (remember WoW, those of you who played. Lots of raids/dungeons after max level).

Now, the complaints about the update: Resources Decayment: Already said, not true; Walls change: They saw how unbalanced the resources for lvl 3 where. If they ever release multiplayer, how would you raid ANY house if my cousin, who is TEN YEARS OLD, and plays the game every now and them, had a full stone house? It was TOO easy to get, and it is TOO HARD to destroy. It would ruin multiplayers a lot. Also regarding walls, they have literally ZERO uses now, its weird bitching about this;

New zones needing chopper: If you don't have the chopper yet, you aren't at the end game. Simple as that. And if you aren't at the end game, there is no need for you to be bitching about new content. Seriously, focus on getting it, take it slow if the grind is too excessive to you, if you need only engine parts go to red zones, use your resources, don't be saving them for nothing if you dont get the chopper.

Cost changes on armor: That complaint was ridiculous. People bitching about the armor needing iron plates, as if it was impossible to make, and saying that new players wouldnt be able to clear bunker without that. The iron plates are hyper easy to make, I don't even know why I'm entering at this matter. Also, the SWAT armor is DARN strong, it makes sense it requires a shit ton of mats, and you don't really need it for anything yet. Before the update, people claimed NEVER doing the SWAT armor, cuz they didnt need it.

Oak Planks: People complaining about how oak is looted now, and needing 3 logs for one plank, read what I said up there. If they made it too excessively easy, what would you do in the game? If you can go to the woods to farm, you have the chopper, so you only need the bunker tickets for weapons, and having the chopper you probably have a shit load of them already. So, for balancing, they made harder now to get the oaks, so the few guys at the end-game have something new to farm, and have that extra effort rewarded in seeing new stuff crafted before everyone else.

So, before the downvotes you're all going to give: I'm lvl 73, playing for bit less than a month pretty much, whenever I can. I don't have the chopper, only a small room made of level 3 walls (cuz I spent ONE DAY farming mats for it, was bored and with free time). Farming only for the end-game to come.

So, take your time, relax, read this and try to understand before dumping tons of hate. If you're not happy with the game, you can voice your opinions and retire until they change. The game is trying to find itself a balance, and it is moving forward in a good way.
