I'm A.
Saw Princess at the Belasco yesterday. AMAZING SHOW! Maya Rudolph was a force, and for a moment during the show she actually talked to me through the crowd. I was just pointing at her, like saying "YOU!!! YOU!!!!!!" and she said, "Thank you, no, thank you." It was so cool. Just so fricken cool.
I don't think I stopped dancing once during the show.
Really, the only downside was that my friend bailed on me and I couldn't get anyone to go with.
So, last night became the first time I ever went to a concert alone. Honestly, it wasn't all that bad. I'm sort of like an octagonal wheel anyway, technically round, but the ride is a little bumpy, so I figured I'd be a lot more awkward than I was. But once the music got going, everyone was just sorta vibing and dancing, and it was like a big community where everyone was really cool-
(great show)
This is my message in a bottle, hoping that with a little luck, someone cool might stumble on it.
So, who are you? You-You're funny, fun, playful, and insightful. You've got something to say and perspective that invites debate. You'll stand your ground even when I'm being bullheaded, and invite me to open myself to new ways of seeing the world and possibly even thinking.
You're someone that would dig alternating weeks of seeing Prince cover bands, dinosaur exhibits, Dodger games, and being a total couch potato. If I'm really lucky, then you'll also be a little quirky and weird-just please don't be the "I'm WEIRD" girl. My weird is kind that manifests itself in Tourette's-like explosions of joy whenever I'm doing the things I really enjoy.
Hope you find this message oh cool chick that likes stand-up comedy, history, and the Beastie Boys.
