Lease Breaking (Uninhabitable BEN meets WILLARD)
Post Body

So we've been having an ongoing battle with a colony of rats, my landlord seems to be inept when it comes to pest control and maintenance. We've now found a place and he's asking for us to give him 30 day notice. I know it's a common courtesy but due to the circumstances we felt that there's no need due to the extreme why give him 30 days more, or any more rent when he's failed us as a landlord.

Before some of you jump on my back, we've been dealing with this issue since July of last year, it was small here and there (thinking they were mice, no they were babies Terminix confirmed) then as this year started they've got progressively worse and more aggressive had Terminix come out 2x to give landlord estimates, reported with Dept of Health 2x and Code enforcement. He hired a pest control to come out and put out glue traps, same thing he's done, he improperly patched up holes just for them to eat right back through them within 48 hours. We have about 100GB of video and picture footage and it's taken a huge toll on us. So that is why we just want to move out, there's been no courtesy extended to us as tenants and he try's to downplay the whole issue like it's not that bad.

What would you do?
