Help! I finally convinced my wife, and now I'm out of my depth for garb.
Post Body

Like the title says, I finally convinced my wife to attend two (masked and vaxxed) ren faire events, and now she is sold on the whole kit and caboodle. We are looking to attend a weekend game in northern Utah in October, but we have run into a garb issue: Women's pants.

Having tried a few skirts and dresses from various eras and styles, my lovely wife has boldly decided that what she really wants are "adventure pants." As the resident "expert" (read: person who got her into this) she has left it up to me to figure out some pants worthy of adventure.

Does anyone have any recommendations for either budget rough-and-tumble pants that are generic enough to fit a few outfits, but nice enough to not get called out at a dozen paces? Or, barring that, recommendations for sewing patterns and fabrics that would work?

Edit: Bonus round: she also wants me to come up with a viking outfit for our 18 month old. Help? Please??

Edit edit: She is interested in everything from pirate to fantasy elf ranger to knight to viking. For what it's worth, my main garb is very gaelic/scots inspired, though she hasn't really talked about wanting to coordinate.

Edit edit edit: God am I bad at Reddit. The game we are looking at is fairly generic fantasy with a bent towards viking.
