Actually had to go re-read a whole chunk to be able to articulate this one, hopefully, I'm clear, I'm usually trash at being concise.
Why is Sagara so obsessed with Ananta?
In the first 100ish chapters, I thought she was obsessed with his power, the following 200 I was slowly being sold the idea she genuinely loved him, then Ananta appears and he knocks down any theory I had, because, well, Sagara doesn't fucking know Ananta that well. Maruna probably has a better grasp on Ananta than Sagara, and he met him a handful of times. She was glued to him for eons.
I genuinely don't get it. He is a philanthropist who loves the universe as a whole, friends with the kindest and coherent suras that existed. A martyr who suffered in silence for the wellness of everybody else.
Sagara is a cyclothymic petty murderer who only cares about her clan followed by the sura race. She found out about a lot of things he never told her on a piece of paper, for fuck's sake.
Her stupid plan goes against everything he worked for in his life.
So, I'm asking you guys, does she love the idea of him? The idea of being his wife? The safety and power he brought to her clan? Is she nostalgic about how the status quo used to be? Everything working fine, with no enemies to worry about?
Does she simply have this idea of his character that is completely wrong? Is she that deluded?
Or she genuinely loved him, but she truly doesn't know the guy at all.
