Is it possible to lock only heading (but not pitch)?

I've just installed kOS, and my first task was going to be writing a script to do a proper gravity turn. I'd like to be able get the script to release the pitch controls after the initial pitch over maneuver, but continue to hold the heading constant so the ship doesn't stray from an equatorial orbit.
Is this possible with kOS? And if not, does anyone know if there's another mod that could help me out?
