I live in the tropics in the Caribbean and until last year, I've been on the oily/normal side. After turning 41 this year, my skin can't seem to get enough moisture no matter what I do!
Currently I just double cleanse, and use a couple actives (various brands of 20% vitamin C serums, and The Ordinary AHA 30% and BHA 2%), and then for moisture I do:
- Seoul Ceuticals Multi-Function All-In-One Anti-Aging Snail Repair Cream
- Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster
- COSRX Comfort Ceramide Cream
- Slugging with Vaseline
These do an okay job, I certainly see a difference when I do it every day. But it's not nearly as hydrating as it used to be and it seems the skin on my forehead can't get enough moisture no matter how thickly I apply or how many times I later it. It just drinks it in and doesn't seem like it's ever enough.
Is there one or two moisturizers you would recommend for a higher echelon of hydration? Especially asking for something I can apply at night, so no need to worry about how it goes down under makeup.
