Hi all, this has never happened to me before. For a while I used to pay a special student plan of around $35/mo, then when it expired it got hiked up to around $50/mo, which was a bit too much for me. I changed my phone plan over the phone last month to $39/mo, but I think my minutes changed as well.
I made these calls to my parents in Malaysia, and suddenly I'm billed 200 for minutes. I've been a long time Koodo customer, and I'm pretty sure I called internationally in the past with no extra charge, so I think that's why I assumed no different.
I 100% understand that it is my fault for not checking the fine print. I feel so dumb. But I simply cannot afford to pay this and I'm horribly stressed 🥲 I guess I just want some anecdotal advice. Has anyone had success in getting Koodo to reduce or waive a bill like this? I have a callback scheduled as well.
Thanks all, I appreciate any advice you may have.
